Mennonite Women

Trissels has an active Mennonite Women group that meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.

Of course, a highlight of each sewing day is the shared fellowship meal at noon.

The women gather for a work day on a wide range of sewing projects. The projects help those in our community and persons around the world—for instance, making blankets or school kits which are distributed to refugees and displaced families by MCC, the international service arm of the Mennonite church. Hand work on fine stitch and long stitch quilts continues on a regular basis. Knotted comforters are completed each month. Projects such as assembling 200+ school kits occur annually.
